Richard Fifer, born on January 23, 1957 [1] in the Republic of Panama at Gorgas Army Hospital.  Richard Fifer is recognized in his native country as the Father of Modern mining in Panama.   Richard Fifer was raised in the Isthmus of Panama, spent most of his adult years dedicated to mining exploration ventures and development of the central provinces in the Republic of Panama.
